When something is wrong today but it is not life-threatening, you do not need a stranger at an emergency clinic. Call your usual number and our own team makes room to see your pet the same day whenever we can, with the doctors and records you already know. And if we are completely booked, we get you seen at a sister hospital the same day rather than sending you off on your own.
Vomiting or diarrhea
Upset that will not settle, or a pet who has suddenly stopped eating and drinking.
Sudden limping or injury
A fall, a cut, a limp that came on fast, or a wound that should be looked at today.
Ear, eye, and skin flare-ups
Painful ears, a red or squinting eye, hot spots, or a rash that appeared overnight.
Something is just off
Low energy, straining, or a gut feeling that your pet is not themselves. Trust it and call.
When to go straight to an emergency hospital
Urgent care is for problems that need attention today but are not life-threatening. If your pet is having trouble breathing, has collapsed, is bleeding heavily, was hit by a car, or may have swallowed something toxic, that is an emergency. Do not wait for an appointment. Our emergency care page lists the nearest hospitals and what to do on the way.
